North Washington VFD 2011 Rodeo Queen INFORMATION North Washington VFD Rodeo Queen Contest The 2012 Rodeo Queen contest will be held on April 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the North Washington V.F.D. Rodeo Arena in Butler County along Oneida Valley Road. Application deadline is April 14, 2012. No applications postmarked after this date will be considered. 2011 Rodeo Queen Miranda Stoner Miranda Stoner was selected as the North Washington Rodeo Queen at this years contest held on April 16th at the North Washington Rodeo Grounds. Miranda is 17 years old and will be a Senior at the Butler High School for the 2011 - 2012 school year. She is the daughter of Rick snd Teresa Stoner. She lives at home with her family including one younger sister, Brielle Stoner in Butler. Miranda plays the piccolo for the Butler High Marching Band and competes for the Butler High Equestrian Team. Miranda enjoys trail riding with the Misfit Saddle Club and with friends and family. She is also a member of the Powder Mill 4-H Club where she competes in barrel racing, pole bending as well as other gaming events at 4-H show and the Big Butler Fair. Miranda has attended the North Washington Rodeo every year since she was born. She is excited to live out her dream of becoming Rodeo Queen and representing the North Washington Rodeo. Watch for her and the 1st runner-up Lacee Scheerbaum representing the North Washington Rodeo and Fire Dept. at local parades, events, and rodeos.
Rules and regulations 1. Must live within a 40 mile radius of North Washington, Pa. 2.Must be between the age of 16 and 20 by September1st and be single 3. Must have access to a horse for the contest and the Rodeo 4. Reign of Queen will be from May 2012 till 2013. 5. Judging will be on personality, horsemanship, and appearance. 6.Winner will receive $350.00 to purchase clothing for her appearances. 7. Winner must attend all scheduled activities for the Fire Department as well as community activities designated by the committee. The Queen will receive a schedule of events she is to attend. 8. During her reign the Queen must uphold a positive and moral conduct which includes no smoking, drinking, bad language, etc., while attending any and all functions. The Fire Department reserves the right to review any alleged misconduct. Any discipline action is left up to the discretion of the fire department to the extent of having her title as Queen revoked. 9. Winner must attend all performances of the Rodeo and participate in the Rodeo Parade. 10. Three absences of scheduled outings will result in the forfeiture of the crown, sash, belt buckle and title to the first runner up. 11. Attendance at the Fireman's and Flames' Banquet is mandatory! 12. Former Queens are not eligible to run again unless there are no new contestants. When attending Fire Department sponsored events and parades, the Queen will be Chaperoned by the Flames Drill Team or a member of the Rodeo Queen Committee. The North Washington VFD reserves the right to disqualify the winner if attendance at Fire Department events is not satisfactory. You may be excused for emergencies only. YOU WILL NOT BE EXCUSED TO ATTEND HORSE SHOWS! The Fire Department will do our best to notify you well in advance of events you must attend, but sometimes circumstances may arise which will require a short notice.
